In the book, Onegin sometimes is very inventive, but his idleness and lack of perseverance makes him the opposite of a romantic hero. He is just a miniature of the mediocre walks of life in reality, and what makes him different is only the tag of high society. This is not a typical romantic story, which expedites our understanding of the endings of the hero and the heroine of the book. Tatyana, worldlier than ever, does not betray her husband, and imagine her former beloved as a hero. Instead, she directly rips off Onegin’s false appearance, stamping out all of his wishes to seduce her ever again. After Onegin has left his former extravagant life, he becomes ineffectual. Not everyone is able to act as a romantic hero and rescue society, when he gets bored of the life in high society, and chooses to leave.
